Bullitt County Public Library reports its activities and quality of service to the community, to the state, and to the federal government through various means each fiscal year, which runs from July 1st to June 30th of the following calendar year. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the fiscal oversight of our finances. The director, hired by the Board, is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Library including the appropriate use of the Library’s funds according to the conditions set forth in the annual budget.

The 2019–2020 Annual Report was submitted to the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives (KDLA) in October 2020. Cumulative totals—such as the number of programs or the number of reference transactions—reflect the totals from the preceding fiscal year. Other measurements (e.g., the number of public computers) reflect the totals at the time of submission.
The new operating budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2021 was adopted at the monthly Library Board of Trustees meeting on June 22, 2021.
