Hillview Branch
About This Location
The current 10,328-square-foot facility was dedicated in 2012 to replace the former Dorothea Stottman Library. In response to rapid growth and changing needs in the community, we are now in the early stages of an expansion, renovation, and modernization project. This project has multiple aims, including:
- to expand space for collections and displays;
- to upgrade technology features;
- to create new, semi-private, interactive spaces for children and teens;
- to increase and improve available meeting space for library events and public use;
- to offer destination features, including both indoor amenities and enhanced outdoor features;
- to improve service points and usability;
- and more!
Studio Kremer was selected as the project’s architectural firm in Fall 2023. Although we expect the project to evolve as we collect community feedback and begin the design journey, you can learn more about the initial concept and parameters for the revitalized space in the Request for Qualifications.
