INVITATION TO BID:RENOVATION & EXPANSION FOR HILLVIEW BRANCH LIBRARY

The Bullitt County Public Library will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the furnishing of all labor and materials and the performance of all work required for the renovation and expansion of Hillview Branch Library.

Sealed bid packets must be received NO LATER than 2:00 PM EST on Wednesday, February 26th. Packets should be delivered to the service desk at Hillview Branch Library, 155 Terry Boulevard, Hillview, KY 40229.

A copy of the bid documents may be reviewed at the office of the Architect: Studio Kremer Architects, 1231 S Shelby Street, Louisville KY 40203, 502-499-1100. All questions regarding drawings and specifications should be submitted to Jordan Doyle at Studio Kremer. Please note, complete documents will be housed at Studio Kremer only and will not be available for viewing at any BCPL location.

In addition:

  • An electronic copy of the complete set of Drawings, Specifications, and the Project Manual are available at no cost from Lynn Imaging, (502) 499-8400.

  • A pre-bid meeting for this project shall be held on Thursday, February 13th at 3:00PM at the same location as receipt of bids. Pre-bid meeting attendance is not mandatory.

Bullitt County Public Library is now accepting proposals for Leased Lit Fiber bundled with Internet Access to cover a 60-month period beginning July 1, 2025. Specifications include the provision of between 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps of Internet access, with installation and fees for 5 static IP addresses at the Nichols branch location.

Sealed proposals will be accepted in person or via mail/other shipper at Central Library in Shepherdsville until 5:00 PM EST on Monday, January 27th. Please note, late proposals or proposals submitted by e-mail or fax will not be considered. A public bid opening will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 28th in Central Library’s Conference Room 1.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS: ARCHITECTURAL & DESIGN SERVICES (HILLVIEW BRANCH LIBRARY)

Bullitt County Public Library is seeking statements of qualifications from interested architectural firms to provide professional services for the expansion and renovation of the Hillview Branch Library location. Statements of qualifications must include a final, detailed plan with appropriate pre-bid documents and estimated cost for the expansion, renovation, and modernization of the Hillview Branch Library on its existing site at 155 Terry Boulevard in Hillview, KY. Plans should address emerging service patterns as well as the needs of the community and library staff.

Sealed qualification packets must be received at the Central Library in Shepherdsville no later than 1:00 PM EST on Friday, September 29, 2023. Any packets arriving after 1:00 PM EST will be marked late and will not be considered for selection.

The Library’s goal is that the firm(s) with whom a contract is successfully negotiated will begin work immediately. The Library reserves the right to change this schedule at any time for any reason.

INVITATION TO BID: NEW MAIN LIBRARY IN SHEPHERDSVILLE

The Bullitt County Public Library will receive bids from qualified contractors for a General Construction Contract, including site, grading, landscape, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection work for the new Main Library. The proposed work will encompass approximately 45,000 square feet of enclosed area.

Sealed bid packets must be received NO LATER than 2:00 PM EST on Tuesday, June 30th. Packets should be delivered to Ridgway Memorial Library, 127 N. Walnut Street, PO Box 99, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, ATTN: Joe Schweiss. Each contractor shall fax their List of Materials and Equipment, List of Subcontractors, and Unit Prices to Joe Schweiss, 502-543-5487, within one hour of the bid date and time.
