Let’s make something to be proud of!
In honor of Pride Month, we invite LGBTQ+ creators and allies to submit their art, photography, and writing. Then, our Zine Project team will work their magic to compile your submissions in a special-edition zine for all to enjoy!
Requested Formats
- Art & Photography
Digital files must be in .jpeg or .png format - Flash Fiction & Prose
500 words or less in a typed document in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format - Poetry
500 words or less in a typed document in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format
Submissions will not be “judged” formally, and we will try to include everything submitted. However, library staff reserves the right to exclude entries due to space limitations or other concerns. The following content will NOT be published:
- Explicit sexual content or nudity
- Extreme violence/gore
- Hate speech
Submission FAQs
- Entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM on Saturday, June 17th. Zines will be available for pick-up at all BCPL locations by the end of June!
- Entries must be submitted using the online form below. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once your entry is successfully submitted. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, contact Kat at [email protected].
- Submitting your work grants BCPL permission to publish your work and your name (if provided) in print materials or electronic media. You may use your real name, a pen name, or remain anonymous if you prefer.
- This zine is free to the public, and we cannot pay contributors for their submissions.
