Our intention with this list is to provide a guide to some of the best and most enduring literature written for teens, as well as highlight adult and classic titles with special teen appeal. Plus we couldn’t resist sneaking in a few of our own personal favorites just for fun! This is by no means a complete list and will be updated on an annual basis. In fact, we encourage you to share with us favorite titles you feel would improve the list (see back page). While the materials on this list have been selected for ages 12–18, the books span a broad range of reading and maturity levels. We have tried to give a general indication of the appropriateness of each title for different age levels, but these are entirely subjective labels and may vary from individual to individual.
