Join certified yoga instructor Christy High for a timeout as you learn breath work, light stretching techniques, beginner poses, and more.

Christy will never go beyond your comfort level and will offer something for all yoga enthusiasts and curiosity seekers. Namaste!

Christy is the owner of OMpirical Yoga and High Expectations Birthing, offering classes locally at various locations, including workshops at Lotus Counseling and Wellness. She is an RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance and has completed Prenatal Yoga Teacher training.  As a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor and Hypno-Doula, Christy specializes in helping expectant parents achieve an easier, more comfortable birth through hypnosis. Most recently, she has added Evidence Based Birth Instructor to her credentials, teaching comfort measures to L&D nurses and childbirth classes and workshops to families in the Kentuckiana area. Her latest project, “Before the Rainbow,” is a series of workshops geared toward supporting those who have experienced the loss of a child through yoga movement.  She was voted one of the best doulas in Louisville four years in a row.

New sessions will be added on a regular basis to help you stay #HealthyAtHome!

Cross Stitch

Join local crafter Shelley Davis to learn the tips and tricks of cross stitching!

For ages 12 and up. Registration is required for a select number of reserved seats. Additional seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Introduction to Weaving

Calling all teens and adults with an interest in fiber crafts or exploring a new hobby!

Join local artisan Kim Upton to create a homemade loom, then begin a weaving project that you will be able to complete at home.

Attendees are encouraged to bring drinks and snacks!

For ages 13 and up. Registration is required as space is limited.

FamilyMovieNight

Watch great family movies for free at the library!

Movies begin at 6:00 PM unless otherwise noted. Drinks and free snacks are provided.

For all ages. Just drop in! Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

MakerspaceCafe

Hang out, geek out, and have fun after school at our new monthly Makerspace Cafés for middle and high school ages only. Enjoy a variety of games, gadgets, art supplies, invention kits, and more. Free drinks and munchies are provided!

No registration required. Just drop in!

MinecraftMeetup

Join other Minecrafters to explore, build, battle, and survive in exciting virtual worlds, including River Cloud, BCPL’s own Minecraft realm. Plus, we’ll have more Minecraft-themed games, crafts, free refreshments, and Roblox access! A limited number of laptops and BCPL Minecraft accounts will be provided; space is limited.

Hey, parents!… Did you know Minecraft is more than just a game? It can also serve as a powerful intro to computational thinking concepts important for 21st century youth who might one day choose a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) career path. (But it’s lots of fun, too!)

Who: Ages 9–15*
*A parent or guardian must remain on library premises with youth ages 15 and under.

Registration is required for a select number of reserved seats. Additional seating will be available on the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved seats will only be guaranteed for the first 15 minutes of the meetup.

Storyhour

Early literacy through stories, songs, and a simple craft. A FREE program for children ages 3 to 5.

Toddler Storytime is a FREE program for children ages Birth to 2. We sing, read stories,and play, all while teaching young children early literacy and social skills.

AnimeGamingNight

Make new friends after school at BCPL’s popular, monthly teen & tween social night on the first Thursday of every month. Enjoy anime favorites on the main screen, group web games on the HDTVs, free refreshments, classic card and board games, free Minecraft PC/MAC accounts, library laptops & Wi-Fi, giveaways, and more. Plus, this is the perfect place to show off your new cosplay. No registration is required. Just drop in!

BrownBagBookClub

Every month, our Brown Bag Book Club meets at Mt. Washington and Lebanon Junction to discuss our latest book selection. Bring your lunch and your love for books!

Registration is required. A limited number of copies will be reserved for this program and made available to registered BCPL cardholders.

PageTurners

BCPL’s monthly book club for teens and tweens to hang out with friends, discuss popular books, and discover fantastic recent releases! Page Turners meets at Ridgway Memorial on the third Wednesday of the month from 5:00–6:00 PM and is now open to both middle and high school ages. A limited number of copies will be reserved for this program and made available to registered BCPL cardholders.

Free snacks provided. This will be an interactive discussion featuring game challenges on Kahoot!; participants are encouraged to bring their personal devices, but a limited supply of Library devices will also be made available for use.
