Kids: Birth–Elementary Ages
Get ready for your reading adventure! Read for at least 20 minutes every day of SummerQuest and record your reading times each day in the spaces provided on the map inside the Kids’ Summer Adventure Guide. (If you need a break, there is a free space for each leg of the journey.) After you complete each leg of your journey, take your map to be stamped by your librarian in the “Mission Accomplished” space. While you’re there, pick up your AWESOME prize and fill out an entry ticket for the Big Prize drawings that will be held at the SummerQuest Finale. Kids’ Summer Adventure Guides are now available for pick up at all BCPL locations. Logs must be returned to the Library no later than Saturday, August 11th to claim your Completer Prize.
…And don’t miss the Imagination Stations in July! Each week in July, a different Imagination Station will be available at each BCPL location. Children can visit the stations any time during regular library hours. Kids will complete a short challenge at each Imagination Station to extra entry for the Big Prize Drawing at the Finale…meaning more chances to win!

When a player is in the correct Orkney location within the library, their device will vibrate and a graphic will light up and spin in the game. Some Orkney locations will not appear until you have made a certain amount of progress within the game. Players enter Orkney locations within the game to collect Wisdom cards. Players then combine Wisdom cards to cast spells on other players, on locations, or on themselves. There are many achievements players may earn in the game. There are over 60 cards to collect.
