Hang out and make art at BCPL!

On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, come explore your artistic limits! Raid our maker cart and choose from a variety of art supplies and tools—high-tech equipment like our Wacom art tablets to from low-tech supplies like oil pastels and fine-line drawing pens. Then, use our supplies and your imagination to make your artistic visions a reality! We’ll often host special art, design, and craft instructors, and new art project will be featured each month. We’ll also have drinks and snacks if you just want to chill and hang with your friends.

For middle & high school ages.
Just drop in! Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? E-mail [email protected].

Upcoming activities include:

SEPTEMBER: Bad Art Night
Sometimes the ugliest art is the best! For Bad Art Night, we challenge you to make the ugliest art possible from the supplies we’ll provide. Then, we’ll have an Ugliest Art Contest on Facebook to determine a winner. A poll will be posted in the Teens @ BCPL group, and the artist with the most votes will receive new art supplies to continue making amazing art—good, bad, ugly, or otherwise.

OCTOBER: Life Drawing
Can you outdo our (really terrible) stick figures? Come find out who our surprise teen model will be, then take a shot at drawing the human figure from a real-life subject. Whatever your skill level, this promises to be a fun challenge—and you might just surprise yourself! Plus, we’ll have another contest on FB to determine our Life Drawing Artist Extraordinaire. The artist to receive the most votes in our poll will win some awesome art supplies!
