Family Treasures Preservation Workshop
Preserve your memories, keep them well, what you forget you can never retell. –Louisa May Alcott
Learn how to preserve your precious family treasures as we discuss how to care for important photographs and documents and show you how to back them up digitally. Using samples on hand, we will demonstrate how to use the library’s Xerox machine to scan and save items to your e-mail or flash drive. Plus, get important information about cloud storage—which can help keep your digital files safe from the loss or damage that might occur with a computer or flash drive—and discover tools and methods for protecting your original documents and photographs from deteriorating over time.
Don’t forget to bring a flash drive for scanning and saving your family treasures!
For ages 18 and up. Just drop in!
Space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Call Trish at 543-7675 ext. 2202 or e-mail email@example.com.
