Adulting is hard…

Do you feel prepared to enter the exciting world of adulthood? If not, don’t fret!

Join us to learn a variety of life skills that will help you become a successful, confident adult. By gathering the knowledge of local organizations and experts, this 3-part series is designed to prepare you for all the basics of getting out there on your own. Be ready for life after high school, from preparing for college life to the landing a job you want if college isn’t right for you. Plus, receive valuable first-aid training that is beneficial to all no matter the path you choose.

AUGUST
First Aid with Bullitt County EMS 
Be prepared for emergencies! Bullitt County EMS will lead a presentation covering basic first aid and CPR. Please note, this  presentation does not lead to certification.

SEPTEMBER
Job Skills with The Kentucky Youth Center 
The Kentucky Youth Center will host a presentation to help you identify and build some of the important skills you will need to land the job you want.

OCTOBER
College Survival
with the Student Success Office of the University of Louisville  
From understanding why YOU want to attend college—not why your friends, parents, and teachers want you to go—to how to pay for it and how to deal once you get there, UofL’s Student Success Office will guide you through some of the important ins-and-outs of the college path. Notable topics with even wider relevance beyond college life include time management, setting boundaries, knowing when and how to ask for help, financial planning, and more.
