BCPL’s monthly book club for teens and tweens to hang out with friends, discuss popular books, and discover fantastic recent releases! Page Turners meets at Ridgway Memorial on the third Wednesday of the month from 5:00–6:00 PM and is open to both middle and high school ages. A limited number of copies will be reserved for this program and made available to registered BCPL cardholders.
Join our final Page Turners meeting to discuss Divergent by Veronica Roth. This action-packed opener to the blockbuster book and movie franchise features smart, gutsy characters in a not-too-distant future Chicago where people are divided into five factions. In order to survive, sixteen-year-old Beatrice must keep a dangerous secret and excel in the tests administered by her new faction, from weaponry and hand-to-hand combat to capture the flag and virtual reality simulations. And then the battle becomes real.
Free snacks provided. This will be an interactive discussion featuring game challenges on Kahoot!; participants are encouraged to bring their personal devices, but a limited supply of Library devices will also be made available for use.
A parent or guardian must remain on library premises with youth ages 15 and under.
