Get the help you need applying for health insurance—plus gather more valuable health information from other community agencies and businesses! \nTo make sure you don’t miss your chance to get 2019 insurance from the Health Insurance Marketplace\, Kentuckiana Regional Planning & Development Agency (KIPDA) will be onsite at Ridgway Memorial for a special community health event. KIPDA assisters will be available to help you navigate your options and understand if you qualify for income-based health insurance plans with premium tax credits or reduced deductibles and co-pays. You might also qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)\, which provide free or low-cost coverage to millions of people and families with limited income\, disabilities\, and some other situations. \nAfter walking you through the options available for your situation and income status\, the trained Assisters will be ready to help you enroll right there! \n\nPLAN TO SIGN UP FOR INSURANCE AT THE EVENT? \n\nYou will need to bring an official ID and relevant information for each household member with you. This includes Social Security numbers\, proof of income (e.g.\, check stubs or W-2 forms)\, and any current insurance cards.\nFor complete details\, see the printable checklist at Healthcare.gov.\n\nOPEN ENROLLMENT PERIODS: \n\nThe 2019 Medicare enrollment period for ages 65 and over runs from Monday\, October 15th through Friday\, December 7th.\nThe 2019 enrollment period for Kentucky Medicaid is Thursday\, November 1st through Friday\, November 30th.\nThe 2019 open enrollment period for Healthcare.gov runs from Thursday\, November 1st through Saturday\, December 15th. If you don’t act by December 15\, 2018\, you can’t get 2019 coverage unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
