In a small North Carolina town during the year 1963\, Dwayne Hallston\, a young musician\, is inspired by a James Brown album and practices with his band in an effort to perform just like the Godfather of Soul. Meanwhile\, Larry\, Dwayne’s forbidden black friend\, is aspiring to play piano like Thelonius Monk and apprentices to a jazz musician. Their mutual passion for music helps them to achieve their dreams and maintain a friendship even when the world says both are impossible. \nJust drop in!\nRegistration is not required to attend.
