DESCRIPTION:Let your fingers do the talking… \nExplore the linguistic art of American Sign Language (ASL) in an interactive course for beginners with Karen Davenport. During this 8-week progressive series\, enjoy practicing basic skills and learning new vocabulary at each Tuesday session. Classes and topics will evolve with the participants’ rate of learning. \nTopics may include: \n\nThe alphabet\nEveryday expressions\nSigning and deafness\nFamily\nHealth\n\nFEBRUARY 1st–MARCH 22nd\nTuesday Evenings\, 6:00–7:00 PM\n \nABOUT THE PRESENTER\nKaren Davenport\, previously an interpreter for the deaf\, now enjoys teaching American Sign Language. Karen took sign-language classes at Boyce Bible College in the early 90s and has since enjoyed teaching her passion to others. \nPsst… For the most successful learning experience\, participants are encouraged to attend all sessions. \nFor ages 18 and up. \nRegistration is required for guaranteed seating.
