• Reading Challenge: June 1st—July 31st*

Earn rewards just for reading. Children can have their bookmark punched once for each title they read throughout the months of June and July, and tweens & teens can have their bookmarks punched for each chapter read. At the end of the summer, you can turn in your bookmark and receive a prize pack for your reading accomplishments.

• Imagination Stations:
July 2nd–July 31st*

The second part of Chapter 2 is just as much fun! Patrons can visit our Imagination Stations throughout the month of July. Each week, a different Imagination Station will be available at each BCPL branch. You can visit the stations any time during regular library hours. Patrons will complete a short challenge at each Imagination Station to earn more stickers, meaning more chances to win! You will earn one sticker for the BIG PRIZE DRAWING for each Imagination Station you visit.

Children's Stations Include:

  • Build a Minion Craft Center - Build a minion sidekick for your favorite superhero!

  • Strawbee Creations - Use the hottest new building tools to make your own Super creation!

  • Super Reed Scavenger Hunt - Follow the clues and record your progress to help Super Reed find the villain in the library!

  • Superhero Disguise Central - Create your very own superhero mask to protect your secret identity while fighting crime and performing good deeds!

Tween/Teen Stations Include:

  • Domino Diversion - Recreate a hero’s name by setting up a continuous line of dominoes, then take a photo of your work before letting them fall. Your work might be showcased by BCPL online!

  • Strawbees Maker Space - Create a hero’s monument using nothing more than plastic drinking straws and the special strawbees tools, then capture your creation on film with the camera provided. Your work might be featured by BCPL online!

  • Super Selfies - Take unique selfies featuring books found in the library with faces on the cover. Then think of a photo caption that honors our hero’s theme. Your work might be showcased by BCPL online!
